Before AK Leather co existed, owner Ivan Heimbuch used to run this cheeky vessel commercial fishing in the waters of Cook Inlet. The graphic and initial 10 T-shirts were originally made as a joke to giveaway to friends and family. After 3 years the boat was sold and renamed by the new owner. When AK Leather co was born in 2020, we knew we needed to have wearable gear with distinct Alaskan flavor to compliment our made in Alaska leather products. What better to do than to dig out a fantastic memory and represent it proudly in Alaska and beyond. The legend of the Salmon Slut lives on!

Utilizing advanced screen printing processes of half tones and specially formulated paints and screens, we’re able to create a rich, even screen print that holds up exceptionally wash after wash.
